1. Yukijirushi Parlor
Yukijirushi was the company to begin processing dairy products in 1925. It is now one of the biggest of its type in Japan. “Yukijirushi Parlor” is an ice-cream parlor opened by this company. You can have parfaits and original pancakes made with the freshest milk and butter. There is a large selection of items on the menu available for you to choose from.

2. Rokkatei Cafe
Rokkatei is the famous producer of the famous “Buttersand” cookies found in Hokkaido. This company has created a café in Sapporo! Here alone are you able to try their “Marusei Icesand” which is an ice-cream sandwich based on their “Marusei Buttersand” cookies. You can also enjoy “Rokka Foreset Yogurt” or “Sakusaku Straberry Mille-feuille” and many other desserts only to be found here.

BARNES is famous among the Sapporo locals for being a soft serve specialty shop. Their truly Hokkaido soft serve is available each day in a new “flavor of the day”.

4. Penguin Do
This shop is extremely famous among dessert shops in Hokkaido. During the day they serve ice-cream as “Ice-cream Penguin Do” and at night they serve parfaits with alcohol as “Barlor Penguin Do”. The styles are completely different yet amazing from day to night!
During the day they serve several kinds of ice-cream with plenty of seasonal fruits. When it becomes night you can enjoy your ice-cream, parfaits, and alcohol in one. Morihiko Coffee, which is in a neighborhood near Maruyama Park, is found in a renovated older home. The homemade coffee is dripped through flannel instead of paper for an amazing flavor in a relaxed environment.
Of course, there are special desserts to go with this special coffee. You can enjoy coffee jelly with mascarpone cheese on top or cheesecake of just the perfect sweetness. There is an atmosphere and taste worth bringing yourself here for!

6. Milk& Parfait Yotsuba White Koji
There is no one in Hokkaido who has not heard of the famous dairy processor “Yotsuba (Four-leaf clover)”. This shop is directly managed by Yotsuba. Here you can have marvelous treats made with Tokatchi milk.
Especially at the shop in Paseo, you can find completely white Tokatchi soft serve parfaits and other options such as ice-cream flavors only found in Hokkaido. You can also enjoy pasta with Hokkaido born ingredients and other mealtime menu items. We highly recommend here for the desserts and mealtime options.

7. Ishiya Cafe
“Shiroi Koibito (White Lovers)” is one of the most famous souvenirs of Hokkaido. “Ishiya Cafe” is run by the producer of these cookies. Their “Shiroi Koibito soft serve” is made from their white chocolate and Hokkaido milk. This is used to create parfaits, pancakes, dessert pizzas and other menu items that can only be found here.
You can also buy individual cookies as opposed to the packets that are offered at any other souvenir shop. This is the perfect place for souvenir shopping and your afternoon tea break.

8. Popura Farm
Furano is extremely well known for its orange melons. The shop we would like to recommend here is “Popura Farm”. Here soft-serve is served on top of melon halves. This dessert is named “Santa’s Beard” because of the resemblance in shape.
You can also have melon flavored soft-served on your melon half or a melon half with soft serve and sweet (azuki) beans called “Santa’s Stomach”. Depending on the season you can also have the melon of highest quality known as “Yubari Melon”. When you stop by Furano please stop by and experience this truly unique treat!

“Snaffle’s” is a popular cake shop within walking distance from Hakodate Station. Here they are well known for their “cheese-omelet cake”. It is made with ingredients strictly from Hokkaido and the texture is fluffy yet rich.
