1. Ichiran Shibuya

Next to Marui, there is a red sign which has ‘Ichiran’ written on it. If you go down you will be welcomed by a red noren. The counter seats are separated so it is a great place to go to if you are eating alone.
They have several items on their menu, but they are all tonkotsu ramen. Special sauce, noodles and water are used to make the ramen.
Sightseeing tourists like to visit Ichiran and sometimes there are more visitors from around the world than Japanese people. It is said to be a ramen shop which is comfortable for women to go by themselves too so how about visiting?

2. Yo (4) ban Third Uoshin

Yoban Third Uoshin is close to Bunkamura The Museum and they have a spacious entrance with a modern Japanese style building. They are an izakaya which serves seafood dishes and sushi. The sashimi plate and the Nokkemori (sushi with sea urchin and salmon eggs) are all large portions.
We would like to recommend you the Sea Urchin Yakionigiri which is called the Unigiri as sea urchin is placed on a yakionigiri and is very popular. If you don’t know where to go in Shibuya, please go.

3. Uobei

You can casually enjoy sushi-go-round for a reasonable price. Uobei is run by the same company as Genkisushi and the sushi doesn’t go round.
If you order your sushi on the screen your sushi will be delivered to you by the conveyor belt. You have to get the water, tea and etc. by yourselves but you will be amazed at how fast the sushi you ordered comes down the lane.
The sushis are all 108 yen so they are good value for money and they provide you with a doggy bag if you can’t finish your food. The menu can be used with various languages so visitors feel comfortable eating here.

4. Hakushu

Hakushu won first prize in the contest held by TripAdvisor in 2016. They are not a big restaurant but they speak English and welcome sight-seeing visitors.
The Kobe Beef is sweet and melts in your mouth and you can also enjoy having various toppings on bread. If you want to enjoy eating meat in Shibuya, here is the place to go to.

5. Tokyo Tonteki Shibuya

Tokyo Tonteki Shibuya is a small restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building close to Shibuya Hikarie. They serve pork steak and you will see their name written on a blackboard sign on the 1st floor of the building.
They arranged the local food of Yotsukaichi City in Mie Prefecture and made their own original Tonteki (pork steak) which is of course very popular.
They have a set meal called Tonteki Teishoku which includes rice, miso soup and Tonteki (200g) for 1050 yen, Tonteki (300g) for 1250 yen, and Tonteki (500g) for 2300 yen.
They also have pork ginger, stamina bowl, and many other kinds of pork dishes on their menu. How about enjoying pork here?

6. Gyukatsu Motomura Shibuya

Gyukatsu Motomura is a 4 minute walk away from Shibuya Station. You will see the white signs with the name of the restaurant and find Gyukatsu Motomura which is famous for beef cutlets (gyukatsu).
They are rare inside and crunchy on the outside and they are cut in small pieces so even women can enjoy them. The Gyukatsu Set which is popular comes with rice, miso soup and Japanese pickles, and 3 kinds of sauces.

If you walk about 10 minutes from the Hachi statue in Shibuya Station you will get to the “Washoku Bal emma.”.
The entrance is the 2nd floor of a yellow apartment and when you walk in you will want to say ‘I’m home’ as you will feel as though you are really at home.
The food is all home-made and they consider your health when they cook and the food is like art as it is made with great devotion. How about visiting the ‘hidden’ famous restaurant “Washoku Bal emma.”?

8. Viron Shibuya

You will find the red and glass windowed shop Viron Shibuya across from Bunkamura The Museum. They bake bread and sweets with flour imported from France.
The sandwiches are huge and even within the various sweets and sweet bread they bake, the baguette retrodor is the most popular. The outside is crunchy and the inside in soft and their baguettes from Viron in Paris have won prizes many times in baguette contests.
You can also an enjoy eating the bread you bought at the restaurant on the second floor on weekdays so we hope you enjoy VIRON.

9. Café Mamehiko Udagawa

If you walk through Shibuya Center Street, you will find the sign of Café Mamehiko Udagawa facing the street. They pay special attention to not coffee beans but various kinds of beans.
The café is set back from the road and you can enjoy the wooden atmosphere and there is a stage where plays and concerts are often held.
You need to pay a charge fee, but the coffee definitely tastes great. The beans are especially chosen so the coffee tastes better. The charge fee changes depending on the time so you might need to be careful. We hope you enjoy the coffee and time you spend here.

10. Gontoran Cherrier Shibuya

If you would like to eat a nice breakfast, Gontoran Cherrier Shibuya which is near Miyamasuzaka crossing is a nice place to go to. The stone walls give the bakery a chic atmosphere and it is the first bakery the French baker Gontoran Cherrier opened in Japan.
The bread here is very delicate and some people call it art and when they look at them and you almost forget to eat the bread.
We recommend the Baguette Tradition etc. and they use homemade yeast which was brought to Japan by Mr. Gontoran. If you want to eat breakfast in Shibuya, here is the place to go!

11. Toritake

They are a 3 minute walk away from Shibuya Station and close to the station. You will find Toritake as you can see the smoke coming out of the restaurant and the red noren. They serve various bowls and nice tidbits.
From 12 to 2pm, they do lunches and you can enjoy the bowls and teishokus from 650 yen. The popular lunch menu is Yakitoridon (3 skews) and it is 800 yen. You won’t be able to see the rice as the Yakitori is so big.
For dinner time, they serve this big yakitori and you will definitely get full. You will also want to enjoy Japanese sake and the nice tidbits here.
