“Yaamzaki Mazac Museum of Art”, located in Higashi-ku, Nagoya-shi, is a art museum storing and exhibiting mainly French art items between 18 century and 20 century. Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art
Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art is located in a corner of Sakae, downtown area in Nagoya, 10F of Aichi Art Culture Center. It’s a urban type museum which has mainly collected and exhibitsed the works in 20th century. They have stored about 7,700 works by the famous domestic and foreign painters such as Picaso, Mattis, Klimt, Gauguin, Taikan Yokoyama.
It’s located in the center of the town and open untill 20:00 in Friday, so you can enjoy the museum with shopping and dinner. It may be a good idea to talk about the art works at the Californian food restaurant next to the museum. Also, they renovaed the museum from December, 2017 to March, 2019. Tokugawa Art Museum
“Tokugawa Art Museum” has exhibited and stored about 100,000 treasures from Owari Tokugawa Family, mainly artifacts by Ieyasu Tokugawa. The museum has a spelendid main gate and stone pavings surrounded by green. Once you enter into the museum, you can see the exhibitions of the books, the drawings, the swords, the potteries, and the sculptures. Especially, they have full historical exhibition. History fans will be happy at the exhibition.
A national Treasure, “The Picture Scroll of Tale of Genji” is exhibited only for a short period every year. Many people visit the museum to see the awesome work. Next to the museum, they have a spacious gorgeous garden, Tokugawa Garden. We recommend to visit both of them. You should visit them when you visit Nagoya.

“Nagoya City Museum”, located close to Sakurayama Station, is exhibiting and storing the documents of archeology, people, and arts and crafts. TOYOTA Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology, located in Nishi-ku, Nagoya city, is a corporate museum by TOYOTA Group, which both adults and children can enjoy. Nagoya City Science Museum is located inside of the Shirakawa Park, the center of Nagoya city. It’s a general museum that you can enjoy feeling the science through several exhibitions and experiences with the concept of “Look, Touch, and Confirm”. At the biggist planetarium in the world, “Brother Earth”, you can feel as if you’re really under the starly sky.
Also, you can enjoy the experience of the image of beautiful aurora in the very cold room(-30°) and the artificial tornade. Not only children but also adults can enjoy to the full extent. SCMAGLEV and Railway Park
SCMAGLEV and Railway Park is a railway museum by JR Tokai, opened in 2011. They have exhibited about 40 real railways such as the old Shinkansen like Tokaido Shinkansen and the conventional trains. They have the biggest railway models and the driving simulator in Japan. Both adults and children can learn about the railway and its history.
You can see both outside and inside of the railway. If you win the chance to use the simulator, you can experience of a driver and a conductor. We recommend you have the lunch box you buy in the museum inside of the railway. Especially, railway mania should visit there!

“Daiichi Museum”, located in Nakamura-ku, Nagoya city, is a unique museum in Japan which has especially exhibited glass art works. They have mainly exhibited the art nouveau works by a modern artist, Emile Galle and Dale Chihuly who is the leading person of modern glass art.
