You can enjoy freshly baked apple pie here in Cafè Vincennes deux. They bake only after getting an order. Outside is crunchy and inside is full of fresh apple flavor. We strongly recommend you add ice cream for the topping. It goes very well with hot apple pie.
The store interior is designed as rural café in France. You can enjoy exquisite Nel drip coffee and apple pie in a cozy space.

2. Chez Shibata Nagoya

You can enjoy the cakes made by Mr. Shibata who always breaks the mold. Chez Shibata is growing big, opening new stores in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Bangkok.
“D’elice au matcha” is made from Nishio matcha and layered with chocolate and bitter orange. “Gros bisous” has a charming design of red lips and “Gaultier,” only available in Nagoya, is made from top-quality chocolate from Venezuela and rum raisin. It’s worth visiting the store!

3. Fortissimo Ash

Mr. Hironobu Tsujiguchi has won the first place in many competitions. His store in Nagoya, “Fortissimo H” offers more than 30 different kinds of sweets, varying from pudding and roll cake to birthday and wedding cakes (must be ordered in advance).
You can also enjoy standard cake such as mille-feuille and baked cheese cake for a reasonable price. Best place to visit when you want to find little something for someone.

How about trying traditional Japanese sweets? Yoshimitsu offers various kinds of Japanese sweets but many customers come from near and far to get their warabi-mochi.
Many see warabi-mochi as a summer dessert but you can enjoy their warabi-mochi only between October and June. It is not to lose its quality under hot temperature. Modest sweetness will spread in your mouth as you bite. Please visit the store early in the day or it could be sold out!

Harbs has 7 stores in Nagoya and is known by everybody in the region. No single cake here is kept frozen so you can enjoy freshly made sweets.

Kakuozan Kichiimo specializes in sweet potato sweets. Their best seller, “Kichi-imo hanabi (imokenpi),” is thin sliced and deep fried sweet potatoes finished with homemade syrup. It is not too sweet and you can enjoy the genuine sweet potato taste.
They also have baked sweet potatoes, Oni-manju, yokan, and many other styles of sweet potatoes. This shop is like a heaven for sweet potato lovers. There are two other branches: one is by Nagoya station and the other is in Matsuzakaya.

Patisserie gramme may be the most popular cake shop in Nagoya. Cakes are often sold out by the end of the day. Their best seller is Mont blanc cake filled with sweet chestnuts. They are so keen about the freshness that the cake is supposed to be consumed within 2 hours.
The marron (chestnut) paste is imported from France and has exquisite texture and flavor. You can only try this fascinating cake between the end of September and March. Don’t miss out!

Yakigashi Le Roux mainly serves baked sweets. They are so popular that everything will be gone within 30 minutes on weekends. There is a purchase limit: 5 pieces maximum for tart, 2 pieces for quiche, and 4 pieces for scones.
You can find cookies, and galette made from organic sugar and nationally harvested flour. Try their baked sweets that Nagoya is proud of!

Pierre Précieuse constantly attracts customers in Kakuozan, the competitive sweets district. Their best seller is Gateau Japonais which has the softest sponge topped with superb whipped cream, fruits and ice cream.
It is not only delicious but also lovely to look at. They prepare Gateau Japonais only after receiving an order, so it is always fresh. It will make everyone amused.
