“Daikichi” is a restaurant specialising in Udon noodles with a cafeteria style. This restaurant has been gained a lot of regular customers and is where you want to visit literally everyday if you have one of the restaurants near your house. Noodles here are so chewy and nice with the broth made from bonito flakes.
They also have a wide range of sides such as tempura, rice bowl, and Oden. What’s more – even when you order a big size, it would only cost less than 500 yen! The nearest station is Kataharamachi Station, but because Takamatsu Station is also close, you can drop by when you go for sightseeing!

Itadakisan no Kaisen Shokudou
When the professional chefs of seafood thought they want to deliver the fresh, and real seafood from the Seto Inland Sea, the restaurant “Itadakisan no Kaisen Shokudou” was launched. Located near the harbour, you can taste the freshest seafood on the day at this restaurant.
Also the menu changes everyday depending on the fish they caught that day, so it is quite interesting which one of them you will find! Tsuda Maebara Service Area
One of the B Grade gourmets which has been introduced on media – “Udon burger” can be tried here at “Tsuda Matsubara Service Area”. Although it might look a little weird, this is something that makes you want to try!
Some of you might feel a bit uncomfortable to try it as this is a combination of carohydrate foods, but it actually tastes nice with ginger dressing, spring onions, and bonito flakes!

There are quite a few restaurants serving Beesuke Nabe, but Tenkatsu is a long established restaurant with a history of 150 years, offering the best Beesuke Nabe! There is a huge well that you can look at, and sitting at the counter while enjoying the views of fish swimming in a well is amazing. Note that you must book in advance to try Beesuke Nabe, so don’t forget to make a reservation prior to your visit!

Budou no Ki
What you can try only in Kagawa – it is “Anmochi Zouni”, which is a soup based on light-brown miso with sweet bean paste covered with mochi, and some vegetables such as radish and carrot.
Among a few restaurants offering Anmochi Zouni, the one served at “Budou no Ki” has a chewy mochi and it tastes so nice! It might look simple, but you will sure be addicted to its flavour once you try it!

One of the local products in Kagawa, a luxury sugar called Wasanbon is used for the popular roll cake “Wasanbon Temaki”, and this can be had at the patisserie “Lowe”. Although it looks just an ordinary roll cake, you will be surprised how soft the sponge can be, and the whipped cream inside contains 100% Wasanbon.
Also, other items such as cakes and confectioneries are just as beautiful as Wasanbon Temaki. Some of them are quite unique – e.g. Florentin with Ibuki Iriko. If you are after something for souvenir, this is where you must visit!

Chotto Cafe Symbol Tower
One of the traditional sweets in Kagawa, “Oiri”, is put onto the soft serve cone as a topping – and it makes “Oiri Soft Serve Cones” served at “Chotto Cafe Symbol Tower”. It looks so cute with pastel colours of Oiri, and you can actually take a photo and upload it on Instagrams.
Also, you can enjoy the texture of Oiri in your mouth. Moreover, Oiri is thought to be one of the trousseaus, so there is a jinx that you can get married if you eat it.
