“Pairon honten” is located at 17 minutes from Morioka station by foot. Pairon is famous for where jyajyamen started which is one of the three famous noodle in Morioka.

Jyajyamen is warm flat noodle with meat miso, garlic, vinegar and spicy oil. When you finish eating, don’t forget to drink chitan soup which you add egg!

You will see a big building if you walk about 15 minutes from Tohoku line Maesawa station. Maesawagyu Ogata Ajigogoro has meat store on the first floor and restaurant on the second floor.

They closed after the earthquake but they re opened. You can enjoy many kinds of beef meal such as Ishiyaki steak, Ishiyaki Yakiniku, sukiyaki, or shabushabu. Lots of people visit from hiraizumi too. If you want to eat good beef in Iwate, please visit!

Marukan department store has closed in June 2016. The restaurant that was popular in the department store re opened in February 2017 as Marukan building daishokudo. Lots of people from Iwate or other prefectures visit to enjoy the taste from old days.

Their most popular menu is soft icecream that you eat with chopsticks or spoon. It is long size. They also have teishoku or other sweets. It is a restaurant that is loved by local people.
