Famous spot for Spreading Autumn Foliage in Karuizawa, Kyu Usui Oass Viewing Platform
“Kyu Usui Pass Viewing Platform (Kyu Usui Toge Miharashidai)” is the scenery spot near the summit of Usui Pass, which used to be called “sunset point” by foreign resort visitors. From the observatory on the prefectural border, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Southern Alps, Mt. Yatsugatake and Mt. Asama on a fine day.

“St. Paul’s Catholic Church” is the Catholic church established in 1935. It has the best season for autumn foliage from the middle of October to the beginning of November.
