“Pairon honten” is located at 17 minutes from Morioka station by foot. Pairon is famous for where jyajyamen started which is one of the three famous noodle in Morioka.

It is located at 4 minutes from JR Morioka station by taxi. Wankosoba is food you should eat in Iwate. They serve wanko soba at Azumaya. They cook the soup for long time.

It is located at 2 minutes from JR Morioka station north exit by foot. Seiroukaku is a restaurant that you can eat local food near the station. Cold noodle is famous in Morioka. Their noodle is strong and smooth. They use cow tail for soup.

5. Maesawagyu Ogata Ajigogoro
You will see a big building if you walk about 15 minutes from Tohoku line Maesawa station. Maesawagyu Ogata Ajigogoro has meat store on the first floor and restaurant on the second floor.
They closed after the earthquake but they re opened. You can enjoy many kinds of beef meal such as Ishiyaki steak, Ishiyaki Yakiniku, sukiyaki, or shabushabu. Lots of people visit from hiraizumi too. If you want to eat good beef in Iwate, please visit!

6. Marukan building Daishokudo
Marukan department store has closed in June 2016. The restaurant that was popular in the department store re opened in February 2017 as Marukan building daishokudo. Lots of people from Iwate or other prefectures visit to enjoy the taste from old days.
Their most popular menu is soft icecream that you eat with chopsticks or spoon. It is long size. They also have teishoku or other sweets. It is a restaurant that is loved by local people.

7. Yamanekoken
“Yamanekoken” is located near Miyazawa Kenji memorial museum in Hanamaki. It is a western restaurant that is imaged “Chumonnoooi restaurant” by Kenji Miyazawa. It is hard to go there without car but it is always crowded so we suggest you to book if you go.
Their popular menu is “Yamaneko suiton set”. Suiton is local food in Iwate that will warm you up. It will come with cooked rice ball and salad. Also their curry is good too. It is worth going!

8. Kuramoto restaurant Sekinoichi
Sekinoichi is located at 10 minutes from Ichinoseki station Iwate by foot. Lots of people from sightseeing spots in Hiraizumi visit too. You can drink local beer.
