Kyo no Yakiniku Hiro Honten is the yakiniku restaurant of Kyoto’s most famous butchery Hiro. It offers high quality Japanese beef wagyu at reasonable price.
The meat are cut perfectly, which makes they taste very delicious and are easy to eat. The meat are very fresh, you can even enjoy eating Yukke (seasoned raw beef and egg) at Hiro.
Hiro also offers affordable meat platters and various side dishes to order, and these are the main reasons why Hiro is always crowded and full-booked. Don’t forget to secure your seats before visiting the restaurant!

Ebata is one of the most famous yakiniku restaurant in Kyoto. The meat served at Ebata is very fresh, you can even enjoy eating rare cow or pork entrails at Ebata.
The restaurant only has limited table seats and few counter seats, so we strongly recommend you to line in front of the restaurant few minutes before it opens!

3. Tendan Gion Honten

Tendan is a yakiniku chain restaurant in Kyoto, and it has its main store in the Southern part of Gion. The restaurant offers not just delicious meat, but also spacious private dining room and sofa seats.
Offering not just high quality cuts of Japanese beef wagyu, Tendan also offers delicious yakiniku sauce and chijimi as well. This restaurant also has easy access from Shijokawaramachi as well.

Chifaja is one of the cheapest yakiniku restaurants in Kyoto, where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat yakiniku for 2 hours at reasonable price. There are three different all-you-can-eat plans, which are: light plan for JPY 2,300, standard plan for JPY 2,800, and excellent plan for JPY 3,300.
The excellent plan also includes Japanese beef wagyu cuts, high quality Japanese pork cuts, and seafood as well. Offering very reasonable all-you-can-eat yakiniku plans in Kyoto, Chifaja is very famous among the local students and youngsters!

Nikuya Hiro Shoten is managed by the same company that manages Kyo no Yakiniku Hiro Honten. This branch has different concept compared to the other branch we introduced earlier in this page, as visitors can enjoy eating yakiniku dinner at the butchery.
Not limited to yakiniku, at Nikuya Hiro Shoten, visitors can try the simmered beef giblets, 100% wagyu hamburger steak, and round steak. You can also enjoy drinking wine and beer at this restaurant as well!

Aje is famous for its delicious grilled entrails, which have chewy textures and are rich in collagen. This restaurant use only fresh entrails of Kyoto’s Omi beef and seasoned in salt, so they are not smelly at all.
In addition to the grilled entrails, you can also enjoy eating round cut steak, Korean kimchi, and curry rice as well. This restaurant can be very crowded too, so we suggest you to make a reservation for this restaurant in advance.

Naritaya is one of the most expensive and famous yakiniku restaurants in Kyoto. The shop only uses A5 rank Japanese beef Wagyu and great cuts only. The cuts taste very juicy and have melting textures.
The price of the dinner course starts from JPY 10,000, making this restaurant a perfect place to celebrate special occasions. You can have a yakiniku rice bowl for JPY 1,000 during lunch time as well!

Karoku is an exclusive yakiniku restaurant in Kyoto, which is famous for its delicious cuts of branded Japanese beef. All beef served at Karoku is at least ranked A5 or higher, and all of them are grilled carefully and perfectly on top of the charcoal.
This restaurant also offers delicious desserts, and also an indoor Japanese traditional garden as well. The price of the courses starts at JPY 7,500 (consisting 10 dishes), and you can also make a reservation for private dining rooms as well.
