Off you go on a rollicking log flume ride featuring cute sweet animal characters like rabbits and bears and songs from the classic Disney film Song of the South. But you’d better watch out! Don’t sit at the front of the flume if you prefer to stay dry because 16m waterfall is waiting for you at the end of the ride and be prepared to get wet!

It is called No. 1 soothing attraction but I found it rather thrilling. Basically you go on a hunny pot to look for hunny with Pooh but it moves rather fast.. The front of the attraction is decorated as a book and the thrill to go into Pooh’s world is indescribable. The view of Pooh’s friends in 100 acre wood is magnificent and makes you feel like you really are in the book!

4. Space Mountain

For a lot of children, this is the very first speedy ride in their lives. Good old Space Mountain. The unbelievably realistic space world is spread out inside the gigantic doom. It’s is a roller coaster ride in a rocket and yes it moves fast!. The galaxy over the ceiling makes you believe you are in the space.

Seat belt is wrapped only around your waist so it’s fast but comfortable although you aren’t keen on fast rides. It is fast but not much up and down and suitable for small children as well.

5. Haunted mansion

Embark on a small vehicle on a conveyor through an eerie gothic Western estate. It is a home to ghosts, ghouls and supernatural surprises. Instead of being scary like any other haunted houses, you will be amazed with its tricks and surprises. The ghosts become your friends by the end of the tour. They are so realistic. Such fun for little ones as well.

6. Stitch Encounter

Available only in Tokyo and Hong Kong DL. You sit in a theatre and watch Stitch coming back to earth on screen. The story is thrilling and the animation is fantastic. It is like watching a pantomime. The talk Stitch makes is very funny and interactive. You may see yourself in the screen as well. The only downside is that it’s done all in Japanese therefore it could be boring if you don’t understand.

7. Buzz lighyear Astro Blasters

A fantasy World of Buzz Lightyear from a movie “Toy Story”. Get in a space Cruiser as a space ranger and fire lasers to defeat Emperor Zurg. Robots and secret weapons appear one after another and get points every time you hit the target. Don’t say it’s only for boys. Your point shows on the cruiser so you would want to go on again and again to do better! It is a total family fun attraction.

8. Big Thunder Mountain

Going through an old mine on a speeding train dashing in and out of craggy caverns, just like an old Western movie. It’s not a scary ride and suitable for someone who is not too keen on speed. The sound the roller coaster makes is rather laud and you feel like you are on the edge. As it goes high up you might be able to see firework if you time it right.

9. It’s a small World

My absolute favorite attraction in Disneyland. The song will stay with you for the rest of the day once you’ve been on it. The big boat will float on a river alongside dolls in different costumes from different countries. I so enjoy spotting countries of origin. Very educational I would say. The happiest place on earth!

10. Mickey’s Philharmagic

It is a 3D film in a theatre. You will see many characters from Disney stories. Those characters come up right in front of you through 3D glasses and cannot help yourself from reaching out to touch them. Walking on a long corridor to get to the theatre is also interesting. You will feel like you are in Disney Museum. Must see!

Enjoy attractions in Disneyland, a dream world!

So what do you think? Disneyland has something for everyone to enjoy. I’ve only selected the attractions which you must go if it is your first time to visit. Whenever you go, don’t forget to plan ahead if you would like to make the most of it. I always do. But don’t worry if you are not too keen on waiting in a queue. There are so many things to do and see without waiting especially for little children.
