Kobe is famous for its great collections of sightseeing spots like Rokko Island, Arima Onsen, Harbor Land, and the China Town. The city is also famous for its tempting gourmet like Akashiyaki, delicious bread and sweets, and last but not least, Kobe Beef. 1. Sakura

Sakura is one of the most famous teppanyaki restaurants in Kobe, as it serves exceptionally delicious Kobe beef steak & wonderful teppanyaki performance. The restaurant is located right by the East exit of Motomachi Station, so it is not that difficult to find this wonderful restaurant.

The restaurant offers teppanyaki lunch at reasonable price, available from JPY 1,836 per person for a plate of lunch consisting 80 gram of Japanese beef fillet steak. You can also try Kobe beef teppanyaki dinner as well, which are available from JPY 10,045 per person, consisting 100 gram of Kobe beef sirloin steak.

In addition to the lunch menu and Kobe beef teppanyaki dinner, you can also order the food as an a la carte as well!

2. Kawasaki

Different from other teppanyaki restaurants, Kawasaki combines French cuisine and Japanese teppanyaki together, and the restaurant offers a well-balanced French-Japanese fusion cuisine to its customers.

Setsugetsuka was awarded for a 1 Michelin Star in 2016, and it offers one of the best Teppanyaki dinners in Japan. The restaurant is located within 5-minute walk from Sannomiya Station, and this restaurant is very famous among the locals and the tourists as well.

Setsugetsuka is a perfect spot for you to spoil yourself, as the restaurant offers a complete dinner course consisting fresh seafoods, vegetables, exceptional Japanese beef or Kobe beef, and fresh seasonal fruits starting for JPY 14,500 only!

You can also enjoy drinking rare Japanese whisky like Yamazaki 12 years and Yoichi 12 years as well at Setsugetsuka!

4. Kai

One of our favorite courses is the dinner course with all you can drink program consisting teppanyaki, okonomiyaki, and steak, which you can enjoy only for JPY 4,500!

Located within 3-minute walk from Sannomiya Station, Genkichi offers only the best cuts of award-winning Kobe beef, which you definitely can’t enjoy at other teppanyaki restaurants.

Mouriya Rin is very expensive compared to other teppanyaki restaurant, as it costs around JPY 10,000 for you to enjoy the Kobe Beef steak lunch course at Mouriya Rin. If you want something cheaper for your lunch, we strongly recommend you to try the special lunch set, which costs only around JPY 7,000 on weekdays only.

9. TUPAI

If you want to eat teppanyaki without ruining your diet or health, then definitely TUPAI is worth to try!

Located 2 km away from Nishi-Akashi Station, TUPAI offers not just an ordinary teppanyaki dishes. The restaurant offers many different types of grilled vegetables menu that you can enjoy along with your beef steak, which all of them are taken directly from local farmers in Hyogo Prefecture.
