The 10 Best Hot Springs (Onsen) You Must Visit in Nagoya, Japan

The hot water used in hot springs in Nagoya are often artificial and made similar to real hot springs or alkaline and these hot springs are great to heal and sooth when tired during trips. All of the listed facilities have several baths and you can enjoy the differences. There are also places where you can take naps and get some rest and so you can relax after you take a bath , too. We would like to introduce these hot spring facilities in this article.
1. Tennenonsen Korona no yu Nakagawa branch

Korona no Yu is a great place to enjoy the recreation facilities. You can enjoy table tennis, Mah-jongg, Manga and relax before and after your dip in the hot springs.
They also have a ‘kids’ corner’ where children can play and although it is a simple hot spring, you can make reservations for private bathing and enjoy the hot spring with your family. How about a ‘trip’ and enjoy the food and hot spring with your family?

2. Kakenagashi Tennen Onsen Ryusenji no Yu

You can enjoy 14 kinds of baths here such as an open-air bath、silk bath, water bath, sauna, and mist sauna etc here and relax. We especially recommend the open-air bath as you can enjoy the great night view of Nagoya and you can relax your mind and body in the facilities.
There are also 6 kinds of bedrock baths (200 yen) and also 5 kinds of relaxation places including massages (extra fee), and you can enjoy all kinds of facilities you would like to have at a hot spring.
With the regular bathing fee you can only stay until 27:00 but if you pay an extra 1500 yen, you can use the resting room until 9am the next morning.

3. Tennnen Onsen Hakucho no Yu

All of the baths at the Tennnen Onsen Hakucho no YU are sodium hot springs except for the water bath. You need take the city bus or courtesy bus from the station, but they are famous here for healing of muscle pains, neuralgic pains, and also digestive organs.
When you are tired from trips, here is the best place to relax. They also have not only baths, but they have a sauna and a waterfall shower which is quite unusual in the Nagoya area.
They don’t have a space where you can take a nap but they do have a place where you can eat and get massages so we would like you to visit here.

4. Tennen Onsen Urban Quar

In most cases, you need to take a bus from the station when you visit hot springs, but Tennen Onsen Urban Quar is really useful as it is only a 7 minute walk from Higashibetsuin Station and you don’t even need to take a bus.
They have 11 kinds of baths including a carbonated hot spring and spring water bath and the water temperature for all baths is wonderful. There is also one of the biggest bath tubs in the prefecture but it doesn’t feel nice or good for your health when you get wet after you take a dip in a hot spring.
They rent out raincoats and umbrellas for free here so you don’t have to worry about getting we so please try visiting here if you want to go to a hot spring in Nagoya!

5. Shonai Onsen Kita no Yu

How about visiting a hot spring facility with your family? Here at the Shonai Onsen Kita no Yu there is a restaurant, hair salon, massage place on the first floor and the hot spring facilities are on the second floor. It is convenient to visit and only 6 minutes away by bus from Kurokawa Station.
The water is low stimulus alkaline water and is not a natural hot spring but artificial. The only space where you can cool down is outside the building so here is the place for people who really want to enjoy the baths.
There is also a place where you can step on to stimulate your acupuncture points and they also have a hydrogen bath which are very popular recently. Even if you stay here for a whole day, you won’t be bored!

6. Miya no yu

Every month, Minya no yu has natural spring hot water delivered from not only Aichi prefecture but from all over the Tokai Area. You can enjoy various hot springs in Nagoya! They also use soft water with less calcium and sodium ions in the baths except for the outside bath.
The soft water will help you have nice skin! There is also a restaurant, massage place, a place to get some rest and the facilities are great. They also do events where you can win free bathing tickets and so it is a very lively place which you can enjoy in groups!

7. Sannou Onsen Kita no Yu

Sannou Onsen Kita no Yu is an artificial hot spring which is a 5 minute walk away from Sanno Station. You may think that artificial hot springs are not as meaningful as natural hot springs.
However, at Sannou Onsen Kita no Yu they have 10 kinds of baths, 5 kinds of hot stone baths (600 yen ), a restaurant and a massage place.
There is also a terrace, a space for children to play and it is convenient as you don’t even have to take the bus! There aren’t many hot springs which have such various facilities and it’s a great place to stop by at.

8. Taihei Onsen Tenpu no Yu

Taihei Onsen Tenpu no Yu is a 7 minute walk from the station and is very convenient. It is a weak alkaline hot spring so it is great for your skin.
It’s great not only when you are tired or you have nerve pains, but is also good for moisturizing your skin and uses ‘nano technology’ to keep your body warm even after you get out of the bath.
There are 12 kinds of baths including a rock bath, ‘jar’ bath, and 3 kinds of hot-stone baths, and massage chairs. They also have restaurants and relaxation spaces so you can get some rest here and relax your mind and body.

9. Tennen Onsen Midori Raku no Yu

Tennen Onsen Midori Raku no Yu’s alkaline hot spring is great for healing your body when you are tired. It is also convenient to visit as it’s only 10 minutes away from the station.
They have 12 kinds of baths including a Hinoki Bath, outside bath, neburo (a bath which is so relaxing you might want to take a nap) and a sauna so you will be able to relax when you’re tired from travelling. They also have 2 kinds of hot stone baths and they have great facilities.
On the first floor, they have a tatami room and on the second floor they have an AV relaxation room and you can rest after you enjoy the baths. You can lie down and sit down and relax which helps you get rid or your tiredness. How about visiting when you’re tired from walking?

10. Canal Resort

You can enjoy various kinds of baths (bath for your back, half body bath, and a bath you can lie down) at the Canal Resort where they use ‘hot’ water which is 48.8℃. The outside of the building is a resort style and you can enjoy the atmosphere, too.
There is lots of space here and you enjoy 12 kinds of baths and 5 kinds of hot-stone baths, and also a special shower which will help you relax. The spacious and posh lobby will lead you to the various floors at Canal Resort. How about enjoying the resort-like feeling?
